Choose an online business that fits your life
A business idea becomes more useful when it matches something you already know or can reach. Begin with your experience, relationships, and available time—not just a fashionable industry.
Start with a reachable customer
Describe one person or business you could talk to this week. What recurring task costs them time or money? What do they already use? An existing audience or customer base can make testing easier, but it is not proof that they will pay.
Match the operating work
A directory requires recruiting and maintaining listings. A membership library requires fresh useful material. A document generator requires output checks and support. Decide whether those recurring tasks fit the hours you can commit.
Run a small test
Interview a handful of potential customers about their current process. Show a concrete proposed outcome. Record commitments separately from compliments, and set a limit on the time and money you will spend before reassessing.
