How a PickYourVenture partnership works
Most businesses that do well early have one thing in common: the founder already had a way in. Someone inside an organisation or an industry knew them, trusted them, and was willing to buy. PickYourVenture partners with people who have that, and we do everything else.
1. Apply
The application asks six questions about your connection, the person who would buy first, the problem, whether there are others like them, any conflicts, and how much time you can give. It takes about fifteen minutes. If an answer is unclear, our AI assistant may ask up to three follow-up questions, which you can answer or skip. You do not need an idea yet; if you have a connection but no idea, the application suggests a few directions.
2. We review it
We read every application and reply from hello@pickyourventure.com within three business days. If there is no clear way in yet, we say so and explain what would change our view.
3. A conversation
For a promising application, we talk through the buyer, the problem and what a useful first version would do. This is where the idea gets its shape.
4. The first customer commits
Before we build anything, a first customer commits in writing, for example with a letter of intent, a paid pilot or a deposit. A real first customer is the best evidence that the way in works, and it means the business starts with revenue rather than hope.
5. We sign and build
We both sign a partnership agreement, and then we build. Because we work with AI-assisted tools on a platform that already runs more than 50 live websites, a focused first version takes days rather than months. Archieboy pays for the build and the hosting.
6. Launch and grow
You open doors: introductions, the key early meetings, and promotion through your network. We handle hosting, billing, customer support, maintenance and day-to-day operations. Each month you receive a statement, and the net revenue is shared 50/50. The details are on the partnership terms page.
Prefer to own it outright?
If you would rather keep all of the revenue, or you do not have a buyer lined up yet, we also build for hire: $999 for an approved first version of your website or web app, with a written scope before you pay. Hosting and support are optional and quoted separately. Build it for hire.
Why this works now
Before AI, building a custom web application took months of a developer's time, so backing someone else's connection was a large bet. Now a first version takes days, which means we can afford to say yes to a good connection and let the first customer prove it.
